This app shows that every sand picture tells a story! Now, with the Sprout Sandy Stories App, preschoolers can create their very own sand pictures and stories, just like Nina on The Good Night Show on Sprout! To draw freehand in the sand, select a shape in the toolbox and drag your finger across the sand board. You can also add cute characters like Star and Lucy, or choose to trace a stencil! This app is great fun, very sensory, great for fine motor and creativity

Sandy Stories is a sand drawing app from Sprout. There are 5 tracing templates, 3 different stamps to use, and 3 differing drawing widths to choose from. It comes with a visual tutorial, and in the app you can ask for help at any time by clicking on the “?” button. Mistakes are easily undone. You are also able to save, print your picture, or send it off to the one you love. I like the fact that the voice of Nina is upbeat and positive, and that drawing with sand simulates drawing with media on a lightbox . This is a great way to segue into playing with messy media for sensory sensitive kids. There are no IAP, ads, or links.
Not that bad
